I would highly recommend Tim Stephens as a therapist because he is a great listener, genuinely cares and has a lot of expertise in helping people in whatever they are going through. I would always come away from his sessions feeling better. The room has a great, peaceful and cosy atmosphere and Tim would always make me feel comfortable sharing anything. He's very calm, patient and down to earth. He explains or gives advice in ways that are easy to understand and apply.I'm very grateful to have had the sessions with Tim because even though It was a couple of years ago, I still remember and apply some of the advice and things he taught me. I would definitely recommend him

Tim is one of the best listeners and most wise men I have ever known! He really makes you feel safe and comfortable to talk about whatever is bothering you or going on in life. He personally helped me deal with a lot of big trials in life. Meeting with Him just felt like talking with someone I had known my whole life and getting advice and counsel.

Tim is a healer. Simply put. He is professional, he knows his stuff. But best, he knows how to listen and guide so you yourself bring your own healing and understanding to whatever situation you are facing. He is exactly what a good therapist should be. Can't say enough good things about Tim and our time in session together.

Tim Stephens has been such an incredible mentor, counselor, and coach to me. His peaceful presence and helpful insight in my life has made such a deep impact on me. He’s a great listener, and he believed in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. He helped me discover patterns / behaviors I was stuck in, and a path toward a healthier me. I wouldn’t be who I am today without the wholistic influence he had on my life. Mind. Body. Spirit. I’m deeply grateful. He’s walked with me through some tough personal traumas, yet always remained gracious and truthful. He’s encouraging, authentic, and fun. I highly recommend his services to anyone!

Tim has an amazing ability to ask the right questions that lead you into a deeper discovery of what’s really going on inside of you. He helped me face some family life tensions that then brought great freedom to those relationships.
FOCUSING ON YOU
No two people experience trauma the same way and this is why our journey with every client is different. We understand that everyone processes trauma and it’s aftermath differently, so rather than impose our techniques we focus on you. Following our special trauma-informed care principles, we use a multidimensional approach to counseling and mentoring.

We focus on you as a whole person and invite all the dimensions of your personality into every session. Your body, mind, and spirit collectively form and determine who you are and how you handle your trauma. We touch every facet of your individuality, making sure that every session leads to a place where you become a better and much lighter version of yourself.

You deserve freedom and peace of mind. You are not your trauma, and you are not the things you hate!

OUR PROCESS
Psychotherapy is a deeper form of psychology that dives deeper beyond the surface and physical knowledge. I simply enjoy having the ability to help people go on their journeys of self-discovery and peace.

Humans often prioritize the well-being of others over their own, and in doing so, it is possible to gradually relinquish parts of our own selves in the process.

When we lose ourselves, our relationships, both intimate and platonic suffer because we can’t give what you don’t have. Depression and anxiety are byproducts of our dissatisfaction and yearning for something better. Until you deal with trauma and gather the pieces of yourself that you’ve given off, you may never experience living fully.

It is my duty as a licensed psychotherapist to walk you down this path to mental, physical, and spiritual clarity, enlightenment, and self-discovery. You may have tried to do it on your own, but depression and anxiety are weights that no one can pull or let go of alone. I have helped individuals and couples who have struggled to find purpose, meaning, laughter, and peace. I have helped them navigate the complexities of relationships, mental health, and spiritual growth.

My name is Tim Stephens, and I am a CA Licensed Therapist with 15 years of experience helping people live their full best lives. I am a flexible therapist that is unafraid to change my therapeutic approach depending on your individual problem and what I think would work best.

WE’VE GOT YOU COVERED

Living above Trauma

Trauma affects everyone differently, but psychological effects can be long-lasting, spanning your entire lifetime. Trauma can affect your response, decisions, feelings, and beliefs even without your knowledge, so it plays a major role in determining how you enjoy your life. Anxiety, depression, flashbacks, and insomnia are all psychological symptoms of trauma that can affect your overall quality of life and ability to function.

You don’t have to live a life that’s subjected to your trauma response. I can help you live above it! Using Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), combined with targeted acts of self-care, you can love above your trauma and enjoy a life that’s worry-free.

It’s my duty as a licensed psychotherapist to help you walk this path. You don’t have to do it alone!

relationships

Relationship therapy is a solid step toward building stronger relationships. Conflict resolution, better communication, a deeper understanding of one another, seeing beyond the physical wellbeing and getting to the depth of their personality.  These are the things that I have worked with individuals and couples over the years who now enjoy a deeper and richer way of life.

Individual Counseling and Couples counseling is ideal for people who a struggling with communication, understanding each other, and trust. As your relationship therapist, my goal is to help you better the quality of your relationships by pointing out situations where you may have missed opportunities and what you can do to become better.

Spirituality

Spirituality can play an important role in personal well-being, providing a sense of comfort, hope, and guidance for many people. However, it’s important to note that spirituality is a deeply personal and individual experience, and what is spiritual to one person may not be to another. If you’re struggling with finding the deeper meaning behind everything or connecting with something bigger then this is for you.

Having a strong spiritual footing can help you live a more fulfilled and purposeful life. Spiritual clarity can be found through therapy, guided meditations, and unique sessions with a professional. You can improve your emotional well-being by focusing on your depth of spirituality and this is where I come in.

I will guide you through the process of spiritual awakening and a rediscovery of yourself.

Mental health

Anxiety and depression are common mental health conditions that can have a significant impact on a person’s life. Anxiety can cause excessive worry, fear, and apprehension, while depression can cause feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and a lack of interest in activities.

If you are experiencing symptoms of anxiety or depression, it is important to seek professional help from a licensed mental health professional, such as a therapist or psychiatrist. They can provide an accurate diagnosis and develop a treatment plan that is tailored to your individual needs.

If you are struggling with anxiety or depression, know that you are not alone and that help is available.
